TropicAle Beer Can Design

I created this beer brand and can design for an assignment in ADV224: Introduction to Creative Media at Michigan State University. The brief was simple: create a beer brand and design its beer can.

I came up with the brand name TropicAle, a play on the beer type (ale) and the tropical flavors my beer brand would brew. And the slogan: "Taste the Tropics".

I'm a sucker for cool beer can packaging, so I tried to make my beer can design one that would pop off the shelves and sucker me into buying it. I guess I decided rich colors, a funky pattern, and a cute toucan would do just that.
